Why Foot Anstey?
The value of talent
THE VALUE OF TALENT
Foot Anstey's strong year-on-year growth record has continued with the firm reporting turnover of £43.3m for 2018. This represents growth of 13% since 2016/17 and 80% over the past five years, with turnover more than doubling since 2010. Our impressive growth is something we are very proud of. In order to keep up with our demand in our services, we have significantly invested in our talent acquisition, which has resulted in highly-skilled specialists from global, City and regional firms joining us. Our Managing Partner, John Westwell, has even been named by the industry magazine The Lawyer in its annual 'Hot 100', a Who's Who list of people who have made a difference to the legal industry over the past twelve months. You'll be in good company.
We like to think that our approach to business and developing client relationships makes us distinctly different to traditional law firms - and also attractive. As does our desire to ensure our lawyers operate in an environment where everything is tailored towards delivering specialist and forward-thinking advice to our clients.
Whatever the reason you want to join us, we promise you a progressive working environment. We seek to provide an open and supportive culture that is committed to ensuring you realise your maximum potential. We will invest, train and value you at every level. Do not take our word for it; others say it too, we have won various awards for our work, our people and for just being us.
To find out more about us, what we do and how you could join us - have a good look around. If you have any questions, just drop us a line, we would love to hear from you.

OUR VALUES, BRAND AND CULTURE
We offer premium services, delivered by recognised experts in their field. We are flexible, client-focused, down-to-earth and easy to do business with.
Our values drive our behaviour, culture and our growth. They direct how we work with one another, how we develop and maintain relationships with clients, and how we build our business.
We are commercial, pragmatic, open and transparent. Taking a strategic overview is second nature to us - we look ahead, read the economy as well as the law, and assess a course of action accordingly. We actively encourage, embrace and drive change and pursue new and innovative ideas through to delivery.
We are proactive and responsive. We set timetables and work hard to make sure that everything stays on track - finding alternative solutions if that is what it takes. We have earned our reputation for being participators and managing our clients’ risks and costs. We concentrate on forging long term relationships to deliver value and we reward and celebrate performance success.
We are a vital part of our clients’ teams and we support one another internally too. We are valued for our wise counsel and diligence as we adapt to diverse business cultures and environments, identifying the most suitable approach and way forward.

Living and working in the South West
LIVING AND WORKING IN THE SOUTH WEST
Dramatic coastlines. Quintessential villages. Vibrant urban areas. No wonder the South West is a highly desirable place to live.
Scenically beautiful, housing is attractive and affordable, commutes are easier and residents are happy with an abundance of green, wide open spaces. It is well connected to the rest of the country and within easy reach of London, Wales and the Midlands. There is so much to discover from the great outdoors to first-class shopping and an array of arts and culture. The links below should be a great starting point for you to find out more about the region.
Relocating can be a daunting process, hear from Steven, one of our partners, about how we supported his move from London.
Despite the economic recession and subsequent increase in competition, we continue to grow year in, year out. With successive years of sustainable growth, we compare favourably with the very top firms in the country.
We want our workplace to benefit our people. We are committed to our Values and to ensuring that our people realise their maximum potential and, as such, provide a progressive working environment with an open and supportive culture.
We play a positive role in the communities in which we work and live. We have launched our own charitable trust which aims to raise funds and distribute grants large and small to charities of any size in the South West. We have a particular focus on providing much needed support for children and young people. Our trainees take a leading role in fundraising activities and our associates actively lead the firm forward in raising money for our trust.
Business practices that reduce our footprint are important to us. We engage with our suppliers to ensure we minimise our impact. From waste, energy to sourcing, we recognise we have an important part to play in improving business practices to reduce our impact on the environment.
