I was impressed by the firm's growth and variety of practice areas when initially carrying out research into the firm. I then attended an open evening and did a vacation scheme where I was able to take part in interesting work alongside lawyers and partners.
What has the highlight of your trainee contract been?
My time in my qualification seat within International Private Wealth has been great - particularly attending business trips internationally to Geneva which increased my exposure to our clients.
What do you like about the culture at Foot Anstey?
I thoroughly enjoy working with my team who are supportive and driven professionals. This is reflected across the firm in my experience of working in a number of practice areas in multiple offices. Additionally, I am given the perfect balance of responsibility to challenge myself but with support from both my team and the firm.
Now you have qualified what are you going to do next/what are you looking forward to?
I am looking forward to developing my technical skills in tax and offshore trust advice as well as broadly across the services we offer within Private Wealth. I am also aiming to increasingly use my Spanish and Italian language skills in providing international private wealth services and increasing my exposure to our international contacts.
How has Foot Anstey helped you grow your career?
My support partner has supported me tremendously and challenges me to develop skills within this area and to utilise my existing skills. I feel extremely fortunate to work alongside and learn from leaders in their field within Private Wealth at Foot Anstey.
