Meet Sharee Stirk, Trainee Chartered Legal Executive
My career background is in human resources and further to studying an Employment Law Foundation degree I knew I wanted to focus my efforts on employment when it came to my legal career. I was carrying out a lot of research online when, by chance, I saw an employment paralegal role at Foot Anstey. I knew the firm as a reputable company and was impressed by their networking sessions I’d previously attended. These roles don’t come up very often and the chance to do a job I wanted to do, for the biggest law firm in Cornwall, was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up!
What’s great about working at the firm is that I have an incredible amount of support available to me as a junior member of the team, from everyone directly around me to the wider firm. It’s nice to be able to approach anyone, in any of our five offices and know that I can ask anything I need to. I’m now training to qualify as a chartered legal executive and with that, feel I have the full support of the firm in terms of time, energy and funding. I really enjoy working for a firm that is willing to invest in its people and the fact that there’s a lot of opportunity to progress your career. The learning and development team are great here and encourage you to improve and develop yourself as much as you want to.
